The Veil is a 3D psychological horror game heavily inspired by Skinamarink and PT. Trapped in your family home with your sibling, you must confront the unsettling remnants of grief and trauma. As you navigate the deteriorating environment and unravel the dark secrets of your past, the boundaries between reality and nightmare blur. Can you find a way out before the suffocating darkness consumes you?

The Veil contains themes and imagery related to suicide and mental illness. The game explores deeply distressing and unsettling subjects, which may not be suitable for all players. Viewer discretion is advised.

I enjoyed the game a lot! I must say, you can definitely feel when you approach the end, it slowly creeps on you with a dread feeling..

Thank you so much for creating it! ❤️

Hi scarybonz! First thanks so much for playing the game and making a video! 😊 Second, while I was watching towards the end it seemed like your movement speed was being reduced. I think it may be a bug. Did you notice that or anything weird? When you were trying to climb the stairs it looked like you were getting stuck unless you sprinted. Hopefully that didnt affect your experience too much! I'm gonna see if I can replicate that on my side and fix it. Thanks so much 🙌

Hi! Thank you for taking the time watching the video! I appreciate it! ❤️

  • Yes my movement speed was definitely reduced the further I've gotten into the end of the game, I thought that was a game mechanic to be honest since the player hinted "I'm feeling weak", although the running speed was not reduced so I guess that might've been a problem. I could've only ran at the end since the walking movement speed was way too slow.
  • The 'climbing stair stuck' might've been the same issue as above, the movement speed getting slower towards the end making it more and more impossible for the player to climb certain slopes.
  • Unless you are talking about sprinting into the stair top level/end corner which kind of gives me a boost as in almost jumping up the ceiling. I'm not sure if I can explain it better, just replay (19:55 - 19:58) it can be seen clearly there. You can even notice the slight delay of the walking speed sound (since I was falling). I think it all comes down to the corner of the stair bumping into the player's cylinder hitbox.

And not at all, it didn't affect my experience at all, I still had fun! There's always gotta be bugs here and there, it's a good thing people provide video gameplays so as a dev you can clearly see what should've been intended and whatnot in certain situations.

Best of luck!! 🤗

I appreciate your detailed explanation. It helps tremendously when trying to fix problems 🥰

Again, thank you so much for playing! I'm looking forward to making more content for you all!

The atmosphere in The Veil is absolutely chilling. The subtle way grief and trauma are woven into the environment and storytelling makes it both haunting and immersive. It’s rare for a game to tackle such heavy themes while keeping the tension so high. Fantastic work!

Wow, thanks for the wonderful comment! Loved the gameplay!

A game that builds up it's story slowly and fills you with dread midway through, only able to witness the characters descent into grief. Great pacing and storytelling, with some pretty tense moments.

Thanks again, FP! You found a bug in your play through so its super helpful for me. Keep up the awesome work! Love your channel!

sorry for any poor spanish! I'm still learning! Thank you, Spain!

The ending  is COOL. If you want an “escape”, you can only “die”

Really good ending!

I'm so happy you like it! Please consider trying out Cult Of The Crow! This is a game I made last year that is similar. I included small callbacks to it in this game too.

thanks so much playing!
